Introduction:
The fieldwork of the 9th Wave of SHARE started in October 2021 and ended later than expected in October 2022. As a consequence of the COVID19 pandemic, the duration of the fieldwork was four months longer. The second round of the SHARE Corona Survey was conducted in summer 2021. It ended in August 2021 shortly before the Wave 9 CAPI fieldwork started. Further information on the second SHARE Corona Survey is available here.
Release 9.0.0 contains the first scientific release of the SHARE Wave 9 CAPI data. Apart from a larger Wave 8 sample, linking children across waves is now easier due to a new child ID variable. Furthermore, new variables make the linkage of children between CH and SN module easier.
