Start of the SoGreen Project
Enhancing and combining capacities to investigate the social aspects of the green transition in Europe
Berlin – January 1st, 2025 marked the first day of the newly founded project on social aspects of the green transition (SoGreen). It is funded by the European Commission to uncover valuable insights into how the green transition impacts different generations and socioeconomic groups across Europe. By investigating this question, SoGreen aims to shape the discourse on the green transition and to provide actionable insights that can be used to inform future policy decisions.
To achieve the best possible results, the SoGreen project therefore is set to combine the capabilities of the four leading European social science infrastructures. SHARE ERIC, ESS ERIC, GGP, and GUIDE are going to work closely together during the next three years to deliver a suite of cutting-edge services, including innovative tools, tailored questionnaire modules, and advanced solutions that shine a spotlight on the social dimensions of the green transition.
With it’s unique longitudinal, multi-generational and innovative approach and by cultivating a dynamic network SoGreen will be able to make a major contribution to better understand and navigate Europe’s green future.
