SHARE participating in new science cluster
Synergies for Europe’s Research Infrastructures in the Social Sciences (SERISS)
On 21st and 22nd September 2015 the SERISS launch event was held in London. Representatives from all six participating European Research Infrastructures in the social sciences came to London and discussed the working program.
SERISS aims “to equip Europe’s social science data infrastructures to play a major role in addressing the key societal challenges facing Europe today and ensure that national and European policymaking is built on a solid base of the highest-quality socio-economic evidence.”
SHARE has one of the key roles in the SERISS project, putting in its experience with cross-national harmonisation of data and methodology and with the development of software technology for efficient fieldwork and database management. SHARE takes the lead in Work package 2: Representing the population and Work package 8: A coding module for socio-economic survey questions.
