SHARE User Conference 2022

The 7th SHARE User Conference has started today in Bled, Slovenia

For three days, scientists from all over the world will gather in Bled at the foot of the Julian Alps to discuss SHARE-related research and ideas around the conference theme “Ageing Societies Facing Health, Social and Economic Crises”.

The SHARE survey data can help explore, describe, and understand social processes such as ageing at a time of global crisis from an international perspective and by involving researchers from different scientific fields. The conference features sessions with scientific presentations and poster sessions, which cover SHARE-based research on topics like the effects of COVID-19 on mental health or on economic stress; long-term care; economic and environmental effects on wellbeing; gender differences in care regimes, jobs and public pension systems; and loneliness, anxiety and personality types. In addition, methodological topics will be covered in a contributed talk about causality and heterogeneous effects as well as in dedicated workshops about SHARE’s Accelerometry study and machine learning approaches with SHARE data. Finally, the conference presents an outlook on the future of SHARE.
