In July 2024, the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel (ICBS) released the second "Indicators for Optimal Aging in Israel" report. The Israeli government adopted a map of national indices for optimal ageing, which provides Israel’s ministries and agencies with a shared set of indices for determining and measuring levels of optimal aging among Israeli citizens. It includes multiple indicators from SHARE Waves 8 and 9 and a comparison between Israel and the other SHARE countries.This report is used to guide future evidence-based policies about older adults and their needs, and is an important information source for different policy stakeholders.
